Spring Break is over. and I'm greatly upset! there were very few days that were even spring break worthy! oh well... with school, I'm sure some fun adventures will come my way:)) anyways... ... welp... as my last post proved, no one reads this blog. so.... I guess I'm just writing this to myself:) anyways... tonight I went to a basketball game... that was fun. we played ALA and they pretty much SUCK! we beat them by over 12 points! it was a pretty chill game.
I think I'm cursed... I broke... my mp3 player, my cell phone, I dropped it in a sink full of water. I dropped my straightner in a sink full of water, I left a light or something on, in the truck, and killed the battery. I just SAT in the Cadilac.... and it wouldn't start. tonight when I went to go make some chocolate milk, I broke a shelf out of the fridge, and a jar of pickles fell and was shattered everywhere. yep. that's life right now.
Preference... I'm going with my friend Zak, and Caity is going with a boy named Brandon Thurston, and Cassidy Jones is in our group, and I think she is asking a kid named Weston Peine.
Color Guard... is too much. practices every morning don't even make any sense. we aren't getting ANY better... all we are doing is changing our routine tons and tons of times, and the judges are judging us before they see us... but whatever. We have fun at competition's at least!
My best friends in life right now, are Caity and Emma. the Soul Brotha's have broken up... things just didn't work out. some people proved to be better friends than others.
I'm pretty much OBSESSED with Justin Bieber! he is so cute! haha... cute in a little kid cute way? haha...
I'm going on a date with Chachi! that will be fun! ... he told me that he likes long walks on the beach, and singing in the rain... haha. so our date should be interesting!
School is school... it's boring. I HATE A days... love B days. math sucks, spanish is fun! language arts is boring... Ag. Bio is one of the best classes ever! Orch. used to be my favorite class, until DRAMA arose... now it's just another dreaded course. I am in a Sculpture class, and that's pretty fun!
well right now... I'm trying to watch Valentines day online... but I have to do something while it loads... so this is what I chose to do.
I took a really great birthday photoshoot for caity! it turned out great! I loved it!
well.... I'm going to go... goodbye!

2. got a Rubber Ducky! : I got the rubber ducky that I asked for! and... if you don't know the story, don't ask, just know, that Meghan and Ashley and I finally got what we wanted! hahh.

3. Got a new Fishy! : I wished for a fishy too! and they gave it to me! AMAZING!

4. Named my Fishy C.J. :)) : After one of the coolest kids you can ever have in your Seminary Class! Chase Jensen! hahahah.

5. (and last but CERTAINLY not least) GOT A KISS ON THE CHEEK FROM TWO OF THE MOST AMAZINGLY CUTE BOYS IN MY WHOLE HIGH SCHOOL! : oh my word. yep. one of the girls in the exec. counc. put in that Me, Lindsay, Emma, Caity, and Ashley all wanted a kiss from Butch! and what do ya know?! we get one! and not only did we get that! we got one from Merrick too! agh! Well I have decided that I need to do something productive next weekend... I looked at about 40,000 Crafty blogs... and found some projects for myself to do! ... if you know me. I mean REALLY know me. you know that I am NOT at all a crafty person at ALL... I can make your website look adorable, and I can edit your pictures any way you want! but... when it comes to "crafting" I kinda got jipped since I was at the end of the family tree... all of my cousins are SO good at sewing, and making adorable things!!! but me?..... not so much. none the less... Well... some of you may not know this, but I have been complaining about my new camera! yes! I have! it's a skinny white thing, but it has 10 megapixels, so it SHOULD be very good! one of my favorite kind of pictures to take are "macro shots" and this camera can't take a macro wirth a dang! but... when I uploaded some of the pictures that I took with it "experimenting" of course hah. this is what I found! it was a great picture! actually... most of them were! I'm excited to use this camera for like... people and stuff! so much better than Martin! but... Martin will be my Macro camera FOREVER! in fact... I took him to the river yesterday :)) that's where those pics in the post before came haha :)) so everyone! be excited for some new pics from my new UN-NAMED camera!

Well... my last song of the week. LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH! no clue what it meant... so i went to HANDY DANDY GOOGLE! and found out the song meaning! I found a site where people post what they think it was about... and THIS is my favorite one! it's an awesome description!!!!... please read it!

Hey guys, at first when i listened to the song, i did think it was about that couple or telling someone how you feel before it's too late.. risk, right..

but then after listening to it a couple more times and reading the lyrics, i came to a conclusion that this song is about taking a risk in life, just in general... if you want something that bad, go get it "before it's too late."

sometimes we watch movies and read fiction books looking for something that might give us hope in which it is "buried beneath all the lies"

many people can relate to this song, because we just need to get the ball rolling and that's the hard part. so we need to really feel it and "love till you feel it" right? how can we do or get something we want so bad if we don't feel it?

it can go so many ways, but the message is don't give up, feel it inside you with your heart, and dont hide in your eyes by just looking... go and do it!! -- Javier

Drivers Ed. is definitely my LEAST favorite part of the day... Color Guard practice coming in at a VERY close second. but anyways... back to D.ed. that little acronym sum's it up pretty well... because you wish you about die of boredom in that class! urgh! it's like... busywork, just so we can aquire our hours. I just can't WAIT for simulator's... that ought to be fun. pah. anyways... for the misc. section of my post... we get a.... BULLETED LIST! yay! my FAVORITE!

I'm kidding. these are some of my favorite, and... one of my least favorite classes that I am taking this year! ... I'm sure it's going to stump you real hard to figure out which one is... well... not exactly the funnest hah.

LEAST...
Color Guard - waking up at 5:45 and being at school for practice at 6:00 really messes up my mojo! it's not fun! I thought it would be wicked tight... but sadly... no. :/ I'm sure that it will be at least a little bit better when I don't have drivers ed... because THAT takes the biggest toll on me of all, obviously it got like a 500 word paragraph above. hah.

MOST FAVORITE!
Spanish - I was SO SCARED! walking into this class on the first day of school... I thought htere was absolutely NO way that I was going to pass this class, and I was so worried because.. uh hello! I can barely understand ENGLISH! but... I am very proud to tell you that Spanish is probably... my second favorite class that I am taking all year long! I love my teacher! Senorita Thomas! she is so cool! right now we're just learning like... Noun's and Verbs and stuff.. but just you watch... I'll become half hispanic before the year is over! Muahahahahahhaha!

Math - this just deserves a small section... because it's really not that great... but anyways, it's not bad. that's why it gets in this section haha. I was really worried about math, but I have gotten all of my homework done the day that I get it! which is very rare for me, but... math is good :))

Honor's World Civ - FUN FUN! I have that class with Pancho and it's really rad. LOVE it! and Franke our teacher is really cool too! ... have you ever seen the Emperor's New Groove? okay... picture the voice of Kronk (the big buff dumb guy) in your head. THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT FRANKE SOUNDS LIKE! it's so crazy! but really cool!

Seminary - this must be my favorite class... OF ALL! I love this class... oh goodness... there are so many reason's and I don't want to list them all, so I'll give you 3.
1. Brother King is a really good teacher!
2. Zak is in my class AGAIN! we're going to make sure we're in each other's sem. classes for all 4 years of high school.... bahaha!
3. oh my word cute cute CUTE senior boy's are in that class :))

Orchestra - I always love orchestra... it's just a fun class. I like it because it's something that I'm actually fairly good at. hah. I don't have to worry about not knowing what's going on. the only thing i'm kinda bummed about this year, is the fact that we have to buy matching dresses that are like $80 dollars. now that's really actually pretty cheap for a dress! I'm not saying it's too much... but... 1. we aren't a profesh. orchestra! why do we need matching dresses? it's not like we're the Mad's or Tril or something! and 2. I have already spent so much money this year... that any extra ammount kills! anyways... I do love Orchestra... just not agreeing with everything at the moment :/

It's almost here... and I decided to go back and take a look at all of the good times of Summer :)) I'm so excited for school! but scared too! it will be the first time in 3 years that I won't be one of the oldest kids in the school! and the first time in 4 years I'll have to go to a new School! I'm so excited for High School! don't get me wrong! I mean... this is the year I get to Double D! (drive and date) but... I don't wanna grow up! I wanna stay a little kid forever!... I don't want to have responsibilities! urgh... darn aging process! hah! and on another note... I have LOST IT! urgh! I lost my mojo everyone! I used to be so cool and outgoing and fun! but lately... I'm just NOT! I need to get my mojo back and SOOOOOOON! I start school in less than a WEEK! :/// someone just needs to knock it back into me! pah! anyways... with school approaching I would like to give all of you young'ns a wordy word of advice... FOR THE

Weeeeell... I must Say that California was Quite fun! I loved it in fact! I am very glad that my parents took us there! haha! and... I kinda got a little lazy and instead of posting every single picture... like I always do... I made some collages! which are a very very smart invention! thank you Picasa! bahaha! Dear Caity

Well so far my trip is good! the reason this Post is to you, is because you said you needed a blog to read... bahah! anyways.... the Redwood forest was great! it was really cool! the trees are HUGE! I sent you some pics so you already know! and for those of you who didn't get that text haha you'll just have to wait until later to see the pictures... haha. anyways... the forest was great and I went into this cool cave, called Crystal Cave, it was really cool! but it was SO cold! right now we are in Santa Maria California. today we went to the beach! it was SO amazing! I was missing so much! it was so cool! I got some bombin pictures! and tons and tons of seashells and sand dollars and stuff! there was this cool Kelp and we picked it up and played with it... it was so cool! and I found some little dried up kelp that my dad said I could bring home and show ya! there were even Jellyfish on the beach! ew ew ew it looked so nasty, and we didn't touch it but we poked it with sticks and stuff hahaha, because... well that's just what we do lol. anyways.... so... shopping? um... not too much shopping, I got some souveniers and stuff in the parks, and my beach souveniers are the shells and stuff. I got this really cute dress from a store called "My Sister's Closet." it was so cute! and then I got some REALLY cute shoes that I have been looking at for about a month in St. Geezy at Payless that were only like... 10 dollars down here! so I snatched em up they were adorable! umm... oh yeah! I went to this town called Calico, it was way bomb! I made a leather bracelet that says my name on it it was way cool! anyways... so far... that's pretty much all I have for ya. like I always say... pictures say 1,000 words, but mine say 10,000 so you'll just have to wait for them haha! goodbye to you all and I hope you enjoyed my random bit of vaca. info! haha! peacee!

Ugh Ugh UGH! I'm stressin way bad about my Schedule next year! I am WAY happy because I got 4 classes with PANCHHHH but... the rest of my schedule got messed! reason being... THEY DIDN"T GIVE ME SPANISH 1! aaahhhh! this is not good! I got some class called.... Web Development instead? yeah! I don't know what I will do! but... I am happy because i got Seminary 1B and I LOVE LOVE LOVE having Seminary as my first class of the day... it sets the day out right! haha. hopefully I can get all this stuff straightened out before school starts!!!!

oh yay! I am so excited for tomorrow! big plans we have here in the Winona Household :)) alright... so... not too big... but I'm going to retrace my "Trek Steps" and show the family where we did everything, then we're going to some ghost town... then we're having dinner, and going out for fireworks and setting off fireworks! My favorite part of the night!

Today we went shopping for... tomorrow haha. I had a very pleasant day actually! I... relived childhood a little bit... haha. we started off with watching my FAVORITE show from when I was little! GULLAH GULLAH ISLAND! I have no clue if any of you remember it... but it was so so great! thats where I got my nickname beinyah beinyah! hahaha. there's this giant yellow frog on the show... its so cute. I miss those old Nick shows :)) haha. then! we had what were supposed to be Dino Nuggets... but they were fishies instead... which is okay :)) then em and I made some Blue and Red Rice Crispies! they're so yummy! ohh! and the strangest thing happened to me today! this girl... who hasn't exactly been my best friend for my Highschool life... because she did something kinda mean. apologized to me today! I was shocked! it was so great! I was so happy! Summer has been great! and Sophomore year is going to be great :)) I just can't wait :))

A few moments ago, THE king of pop music passed away :/ I guess it kinda feels like when my mom was little, and Elvis died... you know that sorta thing. he was really big! and where... I didn't really like his actions... I liked his music! we even did a color guard routine to Thriller! and that helped make so many memories that I'll never forget! They also play his songs at Stake Dances! and those are the BEST! I'm really sad that he passed away :( especially before he got to do his last tour in Europe. but... I have to say... Thanks Michael Jackson, for making some good music that made us kids some memories :))

I am COMPLETELY in love with this new website! a couple of weeks ago in church one of my friends told me about it... and they have the cutest shoes! and some really cute clothes and earrings too! and they are all SO cheap! the website is www.gojane.com its such a great site! you should all go check it out! I'm getting all three pairs of those shoes, for only 13. 70 each! how cool is that? those sandals with the flower on the top. you can get those at Christiensens for... I think it was either 39.00, or 49.00 ... one of the two... either way! i would take 13. 70 any day! haha! and that way cute vest! its only like... 9.00 dollars! This is my "Surprise Post" WE GOT A FOUR WHEELER! yippeeeee! I am so excited... and of course. its got to have a name right? BIG. RED. that is the name of our brand new four wheeler! we took it out to the strip tonight, and had a BLAST! mom and I caught on very quickly, but em... she had a little trouble haha. Oh my word! I think this is the neatest thing since Sliced Bread! I was on Facebook... (of course) and looking at this girl's picture, so I commented and was like... WOAH! how do you do that? well... she was no help at all... she said "Photobucket... its too hard to explain. " I was like... "geesh! thanks a lot" I didn't say that of course. haha. anyways... this OTHER girl commented after that and explained how to do it! so instead of being mean and NOT telling you how to do this... I'm going to tell you! so get your pen and paper ready.... there are a few steps....
1. get a Photobucket Account : its easy just go to www.photobucket.com and click sign up, its free, easy.... and safe. so no worries.
2. Upload a fun pic : pick one that will have some color, like a fun bright pink, or yellow or something.
3. click edit : it comes up when it shows you the picture you've just uploaded, its right under the pic in little blue letters.
4. click the "EFFECTS" tab: at the top of the edit layout, there are some little gray tabs, Effects is the second one.
5. Go to where it says Gray scale : there are lots of little square pictures of Flowers at the top. click the one that says Gray scale.
6. when the Gray scale box comes open, it will turn your WHOLE picture gray, DON'T PANIC!
7. Click "Advanced Options" : it is above the picture.
8. There's a new little pop out box on the right side of the pic: it has a little drop down box that says "Entire Image" click the arrow down, and click "Painted Area"
9. The picture should be restored to its original state, and now all you have to do is paint what you don't want in color gray with the little black dot that your mouse turns into! you can change the size of the dot by using the little box, and if you mess up, there's a button that says "original" and it will turn what you messed up back to the color state!

wow... I'm done giving instructions... THAT took me a while... I hope you guys like this... actually... most of you probably already knew how to do it! bahahahahhaha! but... I'm kinda an amateur at this... and I'll take anything I can get! If you guys find any other cool Effects, be sure to tell me about them! I LOVE new things! hope you guys like the pictures!

Girls Camp '09

Ohhhhhhh.... Girls Camp this year was Sooooo Bueno fun! I loved it so much! and you wanna know what... the funnest parts all happened in Old Bessy (Lisa's SUV) we had so many good times! like.... Our drive through the wilderness, because we didn't want to go up a huge road of mud, we found this way cool old bus, and we took pictures by it, and we went to courtney's property up there, and we found this amazing meadow of flowers, bahahahahhaaaa! We had little buckets to sit on. and we stayed in a Miraculous cabin! (Thank you Morley's for letting us use that.) I really loved it this year... I don't have any pictures of Pablo :( but thats okay, he's a little Camera Shy anyways (and only people that went to G.C. will know what I'm talking about... bahahah) I brought my Ukulele and we attempted to sing songs.... haha. Thanks so much Gene and Tud Tud for making it so much fun this year! I hope everyone else loved it as much as I did! it was a GREAT start to my summer! The best part of G.C. had to be the drive we took. that was so much fun oh goodness... only at G.C.

yes, so today the 'rents took us out for a hike.... eh. at like 7:00 a.m. and last night I stayed up until about 2:00 watching Sign's... so this wasn't exactly the most happy Hike. but... I knew I wasn't going to be happy, unless I had something to occupy me while we were on out hike... so... naturally I bring my Camera right? now... if this post, doesn't everyone how serious about Photography I am, then I should just all together give up. this is some of my better work, ... not the best. I will admit, but I'm really proud of my photos from today! I hope you guys enjoy them too!

Fin'e its OVER! I will NEVER be Required to step foot into Desert Hills Middle School ever again! after 4 years... its time they let me out! YES! I am so releived and excited! NO HOMEWORK! NO TEACHERS! NO HONOR'S CLASSES (until next year... psh. hah.) SCHOOL IS OUT FOR SUMMER!

today I left my own little mark on the History of Nicole Winona at Desert Hills Middle School. I ditched school for 1 whole hour. yeah. thats right. 1 whole hour! I just left. I went to the High School Graduation, to see the very first ever Desert Hills High School Graduates. and you know what? it was worth it! I have never ditched school before today. (which I am proud of...) I don't know if you could really call it "ditching" because I didn't really need to be at school today... but that was my small rebellion in my Middle School Life! bahahhaa!!!!!

Yearbooks were great! they looked really good! I was a tad worried about them, because when I was still in the yearbook class, they hadn't even started. but they looked fantastic! i got every inch of my yearbook signed! bahahaha People wrote NOVELS! I loved it! there were some touching things written in there! like one of my friends... he wrote "Nicole, work on your golf k? Then me and Jazzy won't whip up on you. bahahahha!" oh goodness.... I loved it. which speaking of golf... I will be working on that this summer :)) be afraid everyone! bahahaha!

I will miss all of my teachers, and my little 8th graders, soon to be Freshies! if I could give you any words of advice, it would be, to not procrastinate. don't leave things to the last minute, because if you do... it won't get done. I promise you. it won't. I am proud of myself... I didn't procrastinate too badly this year... but a few of my friends did. DON'T PROCRASTINATE! another thing... be chill.... dont' cause "drama' oooh I hate that word! its so stupid! Drama is stupid! unless you're in Theater.... then its okay. haha! really don't though. just be happy and stay positive, and when you wake up every single day tell yourself its going to be a great day! and it WILL!

Thanks Class of 2012 for an amazing Freshman year! I look forward to seeing you all next year! and good luck to you class of 2013, you'll do great! I'll be back to visit all of you!

Well.... I discovered something a few days ago! Something VERY exciting! I have a MULBERRY BUSH in my back yard! who woulda thunk it? I always thought that those annoying little red things were poisonous... but my Uncle came over and told me otherwise! hah! anyways... today I was outside swimming in our "pool" its more like a puddle... hah. you'll see pictures of it this summer, no doubt. anyways... I looked up at the tree and there were TONS of dark Maroon Berries just waiting to be picked! so I ran inside (actually I had Emily Run inside) and got a bowl to put the berries in! I gathered up a ton of em! and thought to myself.... "What am I supposed to do with these now?".... so where do you go when you have an important question? 1st to : Dad... who didn't know in this case. 2nd to : The Internet! its just amazing how many recipies there are that have to do with Mulberries! I was sifting through them all... and decided to give myself a bit of a challenge tonight... so I picked the Jam! yessssss! it turned out FABULOUS! oh my goodness! I have never in my LIFE made jam before, and this one is SO bueno! I looooooove it! SO! I'm gonna give you the recipe and directions too! just incase you ever find a Mulberry Tree! hahaha! good luck with that.... :)

1 1/2 cups Fresh Mulberries
2 1/2 cups sugar
Juice of 1 Orange or Lemon

Pour the Orange Juice into a frying pan, and add about 1 1/2 cups of the sugar. heat for about 2 minutes on Medium heat.
Chop up the mulberries, and add them into the pan.
add the rest of the sugar to the mixture.
when whitish froth starts appearing on the top of the mixture skim it off with a spoon about every 3-5 minutes.
Afer about 30 minutes of Simmering in the pan, the mixture should almost stop bubbling, and stop making froth, then you know its done!
let cool in pan for about 1 minute, then pour into a jar and leave out on the counter w/0 a lid until cool!

THE END!

I think this should work for any kind of berry... and you should know its SUPER fun! I loved doing it! and I honestly gotta tell ya... I didn't think it would work. I thought I was going to end up with some yucky juicy crap that I was going to end up pouring down the drain... but no! It turned out SOOOOO BUENO! its so yummy! you all really need to try it!
I'm probably Over-exagerating this... because all of you can probably make Jam really well and are thinking... "This girl is LOCO!" but... I'm excited! bahahahaha! ohhhhhhh goodness. well... thats it for my Amazing Culinary Moment of Pure Genious this week! Goodbye!

yes.... it will be so fantastically fantastic! I am so excited! and tomorrow is going to be even better! I just know it! the Tourney is in Hurricane, I think the course is called Sky Mountain. I've heard such wonderful things about the whole course! well.... except for the 4th green... I heard its horrid! 5 puts for some people! anyways... I am so stoaked to go! its going to be so wonderful! aaaahhhh! I'm going to go and practice some more tonight so I don't make a complete fool out of myself! hahaha. OH WAIT! do you want to hear my qualifying score? my normal score is about.... 67, so I barely break 70, but... guess what I got today... OH BABY! a 53! it was so good! I was jumping up and down and screaming! okay... I wasn't screaming... but... I WAS EXCITED! and I still am! I'll take pics of the course, and I'll tell you how it went tomorrow! see ya later!
